I am a bit confused CaseIH 595 ? Do you mean this to be a 52 horse power , tractor with 4 forward gears one revers and two ranges , giving you 8 forward and 2 revers ? if this is what we are talking about , your tractor could have a TA with Hi and Low. This is really a old IH tractor built in England ,last all IH model was 584. Then in 1986 Case bought IH and built the 585 , and then the 595. Your tractor has one common oil for the trany/hyd ,breaks and power steering. So any pieces you might find in the oil could come from any of the parts . most likely breaks . These tractors did could be ordered with a shuttle shift (forward/revers),but most just had a dry clutch. These tractors make a fair bit of hyd noise , with the hyrostatic steering . For best results , I would use only CaseIH Hytran oil in this tractor, as it can take the heat, and keep the oil cooler clean too.

Hi, when you say power 2 speed, do you mean there is a switch on the left side of the dash that switches speed between LO and HI? On old 74/84 models this was known as a T/A and was a lever similar to the throttle lever but on the left side of dash.
Or are you referring to range transmission Rev/Hi/Lo lever by the left side of the seat?

Re orange bits in the hydraulic filter, were they metal, plastic, does tractor have a loader on it, how is parking brake?

ya it is the 4 then 2 and rev standard tran and the ta type 2 speed never thouth about pices coming from the brakes thanks it is 1990 year german 206 motor good advice on oil

Hi, my brother has 454,495,684 and 3230 which is one model newer than your 595. These tractors all belong to the 74/84/85/95/32xx series tractors that have German built Diesel engines and the rear ends are made in UK. They are the same basic design with improvements in each model.
Re Transmission noise, they are noisy if you leave them in 4th gear and the rev/hi/lo just out of hi. Try lifting the rev/hi/lo lever up slightly and see if the noise lessens.
Re oil, my brother always used Shell Rotella T 15W-40 in summer and 5W-30 in winter but a few years ago Shell dealer retired and he switched to ESSO/EXXON HD oils.
Re bits in filter, I agree with Bruce or if there is a loader and the bits are plastic, they could be from loader.

Re Hi/Lo switch on the dash, NEVER change from Hi to Lo when going down a hill or going at high speed.

ok thanks for help it does have loader . the redish orange pieces not metal or plastic about size of pencil tip there was about 3 of them. The tractor has the parking brake it does not work never did when I got the tractor never try to put it on heard that if left on they in will burn it out . the switch for the power tran 2 speed is on left side of dash toogle switch. the pieces i was thinking could only be from the power tran clutches or the pto but got some good inf from every one that it could be from the loader or brakes or parking brake or could maybe gasket materal thank you James
