Saw a post earlier with some old implements. Here's some of my grand dads. Wish I knew what make they are. Like having them on this old farm. Most I think were horse drawn originally. Also attached a picture of little shed I decorated with old stuff from the farm. Siding is some old wood from the barn.

Looks good. Some folks in official positions don't always seem to see things like we do though.

KD, I love looking at old machinery. I could spend hours just walking around and looking in detail. I like farm museums immensely. Good job on the little building! Ed Will. Oliver BC

I think that spreader is an old International. I have one without the front truck, or wheels. Been looking for some wheels for a long time.

Side delivery might be a Case or JD; look for a casting with a logo cast on it.

The spreader is not a JD, at least according to the one that Dad had. The cultivator does not resemble the McCormick Deering that Dad had.

Here's an old hay loader with a tree that I saw while out bicycling in November. I took a picture but I forgot to post it till now.

Hard to say for sure without getting a better look - and because they all used very similar designs in those days, but that rake looks like an IH 4 bar side delivery rake.

They did have an option for tires - which mine has:

Thanks for the comments folks. Lot of memories, in front of the little shed are nest boxes out of grandmas chicken house, remember helping her gather eggs out of them 50+ years ago. I have grandpas '39 Farmall A that has never left this old place since he bought it. Not as sharp looking as the one in your rake picture but still a good little tractor. Have a good evening. Nice! I've got a couple of my grandpa's horse drawn implements and a couple of his harness sets including one that is US Army marked.

He was a WWI vet and I always wondered if he brought that harness home in his duffel bag or if he bought it surplus.

That rake is a McCormick enclosed gear model. Cannot tell if 3 bar or 4 bar from picture. 3 bar started in 39, 4 bar in 40 and the 4 bar was in production untill about 58-60, would have to look at my books to be sure. I am thinking the 4 bar ended production in 60 and the 3 bar open gear rake-tedder ended production in 58. The 3 bar was discontinued a few years earlier as the 4 bar would do a better job of raking. Very few 3 bar were ever sold, only seen one and that is a parts rake setting here. A good 4 bar like that retails for around $800 up depending on condition. Very rough rakes like that I pay around $200 for and then do the rebuilding on top of that.
