I seen this 1600 for sale since it looked cheap I started talking to him its got a fresh motor new tires but he said he was hauling hay with it and it stopped he thinks it's stuck in gear but it will roll? It doesn't have a hydra power just a 4spd he's asking 1450 any chance it's a simple fix? Or should I run?

Will the shift move? I can't figure it rolling if it's stuck in gear,or more likely two gears. Any chance the clutch let loose? That sounds more likely. The price probably isn't bad. I'd take it for that, but then,I've got another one here for parts.
A 4 speed doesn't sound right either though. They were 6 speed with 2 reverse if they didn't have hyrda power.

Could be the clutch. Do the hydraulics and pto still work? Neighbor had a chain coupler fail once where it was still coupled together by the chain but no longer turned the input shaft on the transmission.

Maybe the thing ahead of the transmission is what is locked up.

When I was hauling iron, we couldn't get an 88D started in WI because of the cold. We were pulling it and the wheels were turning but not the fan. The clutch was slipping.

It looks like one you could make some money on with a little work. Most likely the clutch, and many people are afraid of a split. with the new motor and tires you can't go wrong if it starts and runs.

The bypassed air cleaner and short chrome straight pipe suggest it was setup for tractor pulls rather than for farming.

You don't have to split an Oliver to put a clutch in them. With no hydra power, you wouldn't even have to pull the motor. A two hour job.

Nick, you said it's three and a half hours from you. If it's up toward Michigan,I'd be interested. Send me an email if it is would you?
