I just ordered this book and I can hardly wait to read it. As many likly know he sorted out the problems that early baler designs had and New Holland bought the design from him. We had a New Holland baler on the farm when i was a kid and it was a really good baler and was still in good condition 45 years later.

Must be a interesting book. Dad used the neighbors New Holland. It had a four cylinder Wisconsin engine. Dad used it as a stationary machine. He brought the hay to it. I would pitch hay in until I though my arms would drop off. It used wire to tie the bales. The rolls of wire were very heavy. That thing was fairly trouble free. That was around middle 50's Stan

Haven't received the book but will give it a review here once I have read it. by most accounts Ed Nolt was a mechanical genius and made millions by perfecting the automatic baler.

That was a model 80 we had the first one shipped west of the Mississippi hay eating machine was always busy as everyone liked the big heavy nice bales it made. I think i have the owners manual not sure.
