Well there just setting , Looks like D7's F-G's We could use one or two of them for a couple weeks maybe a month at most .. Would take good care of them while they were here , even clean the tracks before they went back . Don't need the keys already have keys.

Yea they did but i have BOTH along with every key for every piece out there . Had to have a complete set for everything while i was on the road as you never knrw what or when you may have to load something and when you got there there was nobody around just the shipping order and if you were lucky your permits and NO KEYS It was somuch fun taking a dash apart and usen jumpers to hot wire and have the cops come pullen in and ask you just what are you doing . That happened up in Mich. at a closed up Notrac store . There was one 850 J LGP one 750 J and there was suppose to be five 650's to go to other stores . The first load was the 850 J , That one had the key it was to go to Dayton . Got there late in the afternoon and knew i would not be able to move with it till the next day as by the time i got it on and unpinned the blade to gain that extra six inches to keep it under the twelve foot with it would be after dark . but it would be ready at first light . That evening i got thinking wonder if i can get to haul any of the rest . Next morning i was hooked up and ready to pull out just as soon as micky mouses hands hit the magic numbers and at six on the dot i was out the gate headed for I75 . At 9 i called dispatch and was talking to the one girl that i always dealt with and said hey do you have someone else coming to move the rest of those Deeres . She said no not yet as they were still on the board and nobody has called looking for a load . Everyone of them even the 650's are considered and Oversized load $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ . So being the nice guy i said well hows about i run the 850 down and run back up and grab the 750 and run it to where it is going , Oh that one goes with the 850 to Dayton . so yea go ahead and do that one , ok but what about the 650's Oh well one goes to Dayton and four go to Columbus . Really how about i just clean the place out and it will be a done deal ????? Ok go ahead . So as soon as the 850 was on the ground i was heading back up 75 and loaded the 750 NOW IF you have a head on your shoulders If you pull the angle cylinder pins on the six way blade like i did on the 850 and you just tweak the way you set it on the trailer you can make it FIT inside the rails and you do not need the permits as you are now legal and you can RUN after dark . So back down to Dayton and off loaded it as it had the key in it and run back up and started to load the one 650 going to dayton only to find out oh no KEYS . 12:30 at night in a closed up dealership working with a flashlight hanging out of you mouth taking a dash panel apart and having not one but two cop cars come in and four cops get out and ask you Just what are you doing and being sort of a smart Arres looking them in the eye and saying oh i am just STEALING a couple dozer Really gets them excited . Now if you have a KEY then everything is OKY DOKY . That night i did not have my keys , they were in my pick up back at the yard Oh and it takes two jumper wires to make one of them run and MOVE If the head lights don't work she is NOT going to move Dual circuit system one for the engine and one for the transmission . Just a FYI. Now here is the kicker someone did STEAL one of the 650's as i said there were suppose to be four going to Columbus there were only three left to go I loaded two on the one load and only had the one on the second . On them you do not have to pull the blade pins just set then a little cattywhompes and you can get them down to the 8.6 . BUT one should always have KEYS makes for a smoother transaction with the cops i do not think they know that one KEY fits all . IF you have that key they just say OK as i have had shell we say interaction on more then on occasion late to vary late at night where we had to use or move something and have a cop of some kind show up . On night in the oil patch we had three trucks stuck about 2000 feet off the road and they called me on the radio i was at the main office about thirty miles from them , i asked them what happened and they explained to me as to what happened and what they tried to get out . OK so i called the one truck that was out close by that had a 50000 winch on it that we hauled frac tanks with to go and see if he could get them . a while later big joe calls and said that he is now STUCK so now we have four trucks stuck . I did not have a dozer in the yard and the closest was like eighty miles away . Louie calls and tells me that hey Gas Serch has there 850 Deere at the location Each drive had a key ring with Cat Deere Case and Komsutsu keys that was the big four used around here in the patch each driver knew how to run and use the two most common winches used in the patch . So i tell louie to use there dozer he calls back and said that htey could not use it because it was locked up and the standard Gas Surch combination would not open the two locks So off i go and i get up there and sure enough the operator had his own comb. . Well five 1/4 inch bolts and the dash panel guard was layen on the hood but the master was shut off , a bent hacksaw blade flipped the master and just as i was setting in the seat to put my key in it Deputy Dwag shows up , What's going on here , Ah we have four trucks stuck way back there see the head light way back there , Oh yea so what are you doing , well we are going to take the dozer back there and PULL them out , OH Ah is that your dozer ?? Yep well how do i know it is yours , Ah well i have the KEY , OH OK i guess you guys are alwright then just checken someone called Yep we are fine , Ok see ya Bye . The only one that was really really ticked of was the operator of that dozer . Keys make the difference .

Dozers without cabs are getting rare around here. When I had my truck The guys that I hauled for would give me keys to their equipment so that they could send me to places where there was no one around to pick up material. The keys would also come in handy when an equipment jockey would deliver a piece and park it blocking where I needed to dump. Another time I had time for three more loads but ran out of room to put it. I called the super and he asked if I had a key to the dozer that was there, and could I please spread the pile so that I could back up onto it. When I was operating their equipment I was not burning fuel in my truck. One time the fellow that I was working for had me park my truck and run his excavator and six wheeler dump. Worked for me.

25 years ago, I was clearing a retention pond in a new subdivision down the street from us for an ice rink. I was using my 8n with a back blade. I started in the center and worked out. When I got about 6' from the edge, I heard the ice start cracking and turned the get off. The rear broke thru and even though the front stayed up, the water was about 1' below the seat. It was 0* out and i figured I had very little time to get it out before it froze. As I was walking home to call a tow truck, I passed a house under construction with a JD 450 dozer parked on planks out front. This was a Sat. but there were a couple of carpenters working inside. I asked them if they had a phone # for the builder or machine owner, but they said no. I walked home and got my truck, a chain and my ring of construction keys. I was able to pull the tractor out and drive it home. Parked the dozer back on the planks. Two days later, the dozer was loaded up, never to return. It took me 2 days with a tarp over the tractor inside the barn and propane heat on and off to get the brakes and clutch to stop sticking.

That's the end of the train line or is it BayHead? I used to catch the train from Manasquan, the last actual station or southern most one on that line, and I think they tore that station down for some reason. I still have a quarter that I put on the tracks for the locomotive to run over right next to that station. I was waiting for someone on the arriving train, so I had time for a quick little mythbusters experiment, definitely confirmed, its not round anymore, much thinner, nor can you read it.

When I was a kid we couldn't afford bigger than pennies for that
