massy 165 engine noise

was running good all the sudden white smoke and clunking noise in the front of engine near injecter pump and died. it will try to crank any ideas or is it toast and time to sell for parts

Shouldn't be that hard to find another engine if it
comes to that. I know where one sits if you're
around michigan.

Pull the cover in front of the injection pump. See if an allen head bolt going through the pump hub into the front
Of the injection pump came loose. Even thinking about swapping out the engine, at this point, is way premature
