Your pictures of the Jeep jostled my brain about some from the Half Century of Progress 2.5 years ago in east central Illinois.

Dennis Riggs has those jeeps. He has a few at Penfield plus his dairy bar ice cream trailer. He is from Sidney, SE of Champaign.

I wanted one of those forward cab Jeep trucks at one time; never got one though. They are still kind of neat looking.

Unless something has sold recently there is a forward control Jeep truck sitting at my uncles farm. Belonged to my brother when he passed many years back. Nobody was very interested in it so it just sat. Has a Ford 300 six in it.

Friend of mine is doing an on-again-off-again restoration on one, Getting slightly ahead of himself on items he tackled the thin red stripe on the cream colored wheels(see picture 4 from top). Long story, but his procedure worked well and the painted wheels and mounted tires are safely stored until their turn comes again.
Thanks for the pics

Local car dealer had one equipped with a snowplow. Understand it was very good for the job, because driver could see the blade and snow, close up. no guessing what was happening over the hood.

I still do want one. Don't need it or can't afford it, but still want one. Our downtown service station (Fuzzy's) had one with plow, as well. Also a wrecker, I believe. Fuzzy was a WW2 vet, knew his Jeeps, no doubt. Was a renowned carburetor guy, I don't know how, because he had HUGE hands and fingers like bratwurst.
