Another snow day...

Looks like the bus won't roll today either; heavy snow fore-casted with high winds later today, so the school board isn't taking any chances. Snowing heavily here now with about 6 inches overnight and that much coming. Yesterday saw near blizzard conditions most of the day. Good time to grab a coffee and get at the farm's books.

You should investigate keeping your farm records on Quicken. I've been doing that since '02. All I do to prepare for CPA(tax time) is pull up the correct report & click on "print". Report has every item categorized & totals calculated.

I did have a computer accounting program at one time and got so frustrated at it I quit
using it. Just doing it the old fashioned double entry method now, my business is not too
complex so I can manage. My wife refuses to even touch the paperwork---guess she can't read
my scribbling!
