Road closed because of snow

In my part of southern California that is something we never see. Problem was, so many people were going to the mountains to see snow, the road had to be closed because so many cars were causing a traffic jam. No I wasn't one of the crazies. Stan
 
And you guys are finely getting some much needed rain. We all got sick and tired of your state blowing up. The property and people and fire fighters hurt or killed was not a good thing. Glad you got some rain. Maybe the storm pattern will break for a few years now.
 
We had snow and melting and then a strong wind and bitter below zero temps a few days ago, I'm listening to the scanner right now 2 deals of car and semi off the road. Nothing got closed, but we've been on ice roads for 3 days now...... Too cold to melt off.

It is funny the roads closed for snow - but not snow on the roads, just traffic for the snow viewing....

Seams like every year a fire fighter gets killed, or hurt. My daughter and son-in-law are both San Diego fire fighters. I was always a little concerned to think my little girl gong to fight a fire. She did that for a few years, until she hurt her ankle, and couldn't ride the fire trucks anymore. Now she is a fire inspector for the city. Son-in-law is doing fine. Stan
 
When I was stationed in San Diego in the late 60's, early 70's we took the kids up to Mt. Laguna many times in the winter to let them play in the snow. No traffic problems in those days.
