I am working at sharpening the blades ,and was going to put the new belt on.I noticed a bad pulley. The JD dealer is not far and they have the pulley for 35 dollars,Im going to get it next week. Im sorry I dont remember who said Vbelt supply,but whoever it was,,,,thank you

Wow! I see they have the B225 that we use on our Woods belly mower on the Farmall C for $18.57. I am a bit skeptical of something
that inexpensive! I bought one from the Big Bearing Store a few years ago for about $45, it's been working well, it's a Goodyear,
they did have something cheaper, but the C has a lot of snort!

I've used them for a few years; mostly for belts for garden tractor mowers.
A couple of years ago my late son blew the double cogged belt on his DR PTO powered wood chipper. They wanted $64; I got one from V-Belt Supply for just about half that.
I have always found their quality to be very good.
I looked up the belt for my A-C 82S sickle bar mower and their price is about a third what Agco wants for it.

I've been buying from them for some time. For deck belts that run a tensioner on the back of the belt (almost all), make sure you get their Kevlar belt. They hold up much better.

Check and grease ALL the spindle bearings. I have 2 finish mowers here and both can not be used due to bad bearings which seems to be a common problem with them

On the topic of buying belts.
The way pricing is structured for many belt supplier's is one price for each size category. For example;
44-48 inch belts $14, 48-52 inch belts $20, 52-56 inch belts $26
Quite often you can select a belt 1/4 inch shorter than the one you are replacing that will work just fine and save yourself a few dollars.
Bound to be some penny pinchers and tightwad's here that can take advantage of this.
Get your hands on a price list, even an old one and it will show you where the price breaks on size are.

Your Deere guy can get you that belt as well, not much more expensive than online. I popped the belt on my AC-B/Woods L-59 a couple of times. I tried online the first time, got within a couple of inches, but couldn't contact them. I stopped in at my local Deere dealer, they measured the belt, had a replacement in a couple of days, about the same time as it would have by shipping directly to me, about the same price. Maybe a little more. From memory, belt is something like 212" in my case. That mower looks like the guy one of my neighbors had behind the 8N he used to have. In his case, an occasional grease of the zerks would have saved him lots of trouble. He paid $400 for his, let it set outside all of the time with his Golden Jubilee, and they both suffered so badly that he lost his butt when he sold the Jubilee, and told the guy that he had to take all of the impliments or no deal. When I found out he sold the mower too, I told him I would have given him $100 for it instead of him pretty much paying someone to take it away. I'd have greased it up, replaced pulleys and blades, oil, and put it to work as a 3pt finisher for my 950. A couple of years ago he went out and bought himself a Ford 641 with a bush hog and doesn't take any better care of them then he did the Jubilee, but its his money, so...
