ford 941 I have a loader on this tractor and I have to tie down 3 point with loader connected must be a way to fix this with power beyond or some other way help thanks

Tehre are a number of ways to fix it. Right now sounds like some one tapped into the hyd system by way of the test port and a set of control valves which is by far the very poorest way of doing things. Best was is to add a front mounted crank driven pump ot get the correct set of control valves that tank the place of the plate the test port is in and gives you real hyd instead of a messed up rigged system

A 941 is a row crop - you can't use a front pump on them.
Options for the rowcrops are tapping into the test port, like it is now, using a diverter valve, replacing the test port plate with a remote valve, or adding a PTO driven pump.

Ford Farmer,

Could you expand on these options? I've got a 4-cylinder 4000, rowcrop, which I'd like to put a loader on. After asking around a few years ago I kinda gave up since I couldn't put the stinger (what the guys here called the rod connected to the crank which would then drive a remote hydraulic pump) through my "rowcrop" front end.

I didn't like the PTO idea, or having to block the PTO down, but reading your post I'm remembering that the previous owner plumbed a hydraulic valve (probably) below my right knee when I'm sitting on the tractor. Is this the test port of which you speak? What could I do w/ this, and how many gpm could I expect?

I'm mainly using a JD 3020 now, which is overkill for me (I like it when it starts, but it still drives "big" compared to the Ford). Still use the Ford for mowing and some blade work, but use the JD for snowblower and loader work. Probably not 40 hours per year total, so two tractors seems kind of excessive (not that I'd necessarily get rid of one, but even if I'm keeping the Ford as a "spare" it ought to have loader capability, right?)

Using the test port involves chaining the 3-point down, to force oil through the test port to the cylinders. That's how my Grandpa ran the 1-arm loader on his Jubilee. Not very handy. The diverter valve works similarly, in that the 3-point is inoperable, but it doesn't have to be chained down. The best option, IMHO, is to buy a remote valve, single or double spool, depending on if your loader has a trip or hydraulic bucket. Check the classifieds on this site, Craig's List, or eBay. You should be able to find one without hunting too long.
GPM will be whatever the tractor's pump makes.... around 4 -4.5 gpm, if I remember right.

I now have a block under the seat that a hose goes to a valve that works loader and a return port I have another block still in the box that has 3 ports a pressure port a return and a power beyond port just not sure how to hook it up so I don't have to tie down 3 point
