Anyone want to guess what this is? I'll post the answer later today. I sure like that tool box strapped on the running board.

That is my thought also. It is not like they had the wires showing when it would have been built. My original 1923 Chevy had the wires hid. Being original it is not glitzy. I have kept it in a heated garage for 20 years. I have no intentions of doing anything to make it look new.

Essex mite be part of nash ,, i saw the nash plate ,, I knew it was not a ford or chevy ,, but it is a lot of hours to preserve sumthin this nice ,, enjoy

beautiful car, Nash built a good product and they were built like tanks too plus got reasonable gas mileage in the 40 s and the 50 s for what they weighed, some models can run on todays interstates and keep up with traffic with no problems or modifications, then there was that metropolitan, you either loved it or hated it,

Essex was the "entry level" (translation- cheaper) Hudson, beginning in the 1920's. The Essex name transitioned to the Terraplane in the '30's.

Nash's entry level was the Ajax in the 1920's, then the Lafayette in the 1930's.
