OT Velocity Channel

I found this last night and have not been able to turn it off, they are doing car restorations.

If I remember right,we picked that one up a year ago when we switched to HD. Do you get MAV-TV too? That one's Direct TV channel 214. They have a lot of tractor pulling on there along with drag and dirt track racing.

While I admit it is my favorite , watch and enjoy each new show because you will get repeats hundreds of times . I have seen them all at least three times. Kindig Customs is the worst every time it comes on it is a group of repeat shows. They need a lot more new material. Sad thing is I pay to watch tv.

We've had it a couple years now. I like "Graveyard Cars" best. 100% Mopar restorations. Mark is kind of a squirel but mostly for "TV" . Knows his Mopars like no-body else. Barrett Jackson auctions and some Mecam auctions are good also.

Good channel, but most of the shows ("reality type") are poor at best - a lot of not probable stunting. I do watch it, but don't hesitate to tune out the lesser quality. My $.05 (CDN)

Yes MAVTV is good , I like the "Full Custom Garage" show , that guy can fab and weld like I wish I could. I don't like all of his cars, but have to admire the workmanship. joe

Yeah. He makes it look so easy. He sees himself more as an artist than a mechanic. I really enjoy that show.

I found it by accident exploring the higher channels out of boredom one night. Been watching it about a year now, lots of reruns... But one thing they do is rotate the programming, so if I turn it on in the morning, every few weeks something else will be there, lessens the repeat factor.

I am amazed (and realize it's TV) at the prices paid for what seems to me to just be used/junk cars! And then in turn what people will pay for restoration. This morning there was mention of a customer paying $115,000 for restoration on an American muscle car. Way more sentimental value than the actual worth of the car!

I'm at my M-I-L's place in Milwaukee today, she has cable. My vacation looks like me watching cable and doing her honey-do list. Perfect.

I just wish they would cut out the made-up drama bs and show more of the work- sanding, welding, painting, etc.
