(quoted from post at 13:11:54 01/01/16) First, please do not tell me what to read or not read. That is not your place or concern.
Second, there is a time and place for every discussion. This is NOT the place for football.
Third, other topics come up because we all discuss these things as a community. Water heaters, personal relationships, trespassers, car repairs all have something to do with farm/country life if only on a shirt tail way. Football does not. There are HUNDREDS OF PLACES to talk about football. Why here?????????

(quoted from post at 15:10:49 01/01/16) I'm confused. I came to this forum to talk and read about the subject upon which the forum is based. Not about football, basketball, jockey, golf, bowling, baseball, or any other professional sport.
Given that there are probably HUNDREDS if not THOUSANDS of sports forums related to any type of sport that exists, why must we discuss that here??? Most every other "off topic" discussion on this forum bear some relationship to some aspect of tractors or farming.
I personally have NO RESPECT for professional athletes. They are overpaid crybabies in my opinion. Many of them are basically street thugs that got a lucky break. Patronizing them only puts more money in their pockets so that they can buy their way out of the trouble that they get into by being who they really are. Granted there are exceptions, but for the most part these guys would be in prison otherwise.
And the "Tide" is mostly red necks, so that counts too.(quoted from post at 13:44:51 01/01/16) Clemson is pretty big on agriculture, so I think that counts.
See here.
(quoted from post at 21:20:02 01/01/16) Their is an off topic forum here, and I really don't mind most of the threads, however as quite a few of you guys have pointed out, this forum has strayed a bit from being a true tractor forum. If I did not like and want to learn about tractors I would not be on here now. To open a can of worms I have had the opinion for quite a spell that instead of Yesterday tractors being one big community that we have became very much a group of small towns, and it seems no one wants to invade or for that matter leave their comfort zone, that being their favorite forums. It seems to me that this fine website has a forum pertaining to all forms of country life and quite a bit for city life for that matter. If discussions were posted where they should be we would not be having this discussion now.
