Any of you have an electronic weather station at your home? I'm wanting to get one but want to get a good one the first time
so I thought I'd ask here first.

Thanks,
John B. in Illinois.. Happy New year to all of you!

Hi. I have a lacrosse weather station for the last seven years and no problems. My only regret is I didnt get one that links to my pc to show history in graphs. Davis i here makes very good ones but maybe pricey. I live in vegas so really cant say how the lacrosse holds up in real cold weather. Only got below 32 degrees four times last winter!

I have a Taylor, it is really only indoor/outdoor temp and electronic rain gauge. I make use of the Michigan State Enviro-weather station located about 2 miles from our place. They are accessible online and keep tons more records than I need, and more info than I could understand.

John B,

I send the wife outside with her cell phone and bathrobe!

Just kidding, have an indoor/outdoor made-in-chine that says temp, relative humidity, and atmospheric pressure. Cheap, wireless, and nota battery hog, made by Taylor.

I just got mine last Saturday! So far so good-easy set up, instant readings between sensor and monitor.

Lowes has these in stock for $99.99.

I've been running a Davis here at the park for 10 or so years.
Also plugs into my PC and sends info to NOAA and Weather Underground hourly (we are on the coast). It went down once and they sent me a new one free.

I have had most all of them. Finally bit the bullet and got a Davis 3 years ago and its run perfect, and reports to the wx bureau. Its accuracy is very close to being a standard as compared to all other reporting stations in the county. Also on wx bug, underground wx and a couple of others. It is professional grade and will not fall apart in 6 months like the rest and has a great 300 rf range to the outside sensors, and a solar cell for keeping the battery going. Plenty of pc software also. Using wuhu software for reporting to 4 different entities. Cant tell you how many lacross and oregon scientific stations I had to dump after a year or two. And outside sensors were ALWAYS problematic with those brands. You get what you pay for.

I want to thank all of you who responded with their experiences on Weather Stations. I'm leaning toward the Davis.

Thanks again and Happy New Year.
