Didn't want to hijack the neat post below. Pop's machinery business was Lehman Oliver Service. One of my sons had a bunch of T-shrts and sweat shirts made up with the statement on the front "Real Men Drive Olivers" and had the Oliver logo below it. On the back was "Lehman Oliver Service" with the company address and phone number. Made two each up for me, his brothers and his two daughters. Those are the kinds of presents that are priceless.
 
Where's mine dang it? Lehmans own the lumber yard here,but I'll bet they'd get a kick out of it if I walked in wearing one of your shirts.

Even though I don't think there's any relation,I wish I could have a large dealer sign made to hang on my shop from the H.E.Lund Oliver dealership.
 
A gift like that is ten times better than a gift that is just bought at the store and shoved under the tree. My neighbor's Christmas tree is hung with decorations made through the years by friends and family. No store bought ornaments are seen on that tree. I can spend a long time just looking at the different ornaments, some made by family members who are no longer around, some made by grown children and grand children when they were little and a few made by the present great grand children. It is so personal and non commercial, the way Christmas is supposed to be.
 
Don, Must be an Oliver Christmas! My wife had an Oliver sweatshirt made for me. Mine is almost priceless as it is of me and my Oliver. LOL. Would have been fine with just the tractor...

My daughter started keeping bees this year. I heard her telling my two son's girlfriends that she wanted to put a label on the honey saying "Mama T's Honey Bees",so I had a hand painted sign made for her with that on it and gave it to her for Christmas. She was so overjoyed with that thing we were both almost in tears. She kept saying it was the best present she ever got. Her husband and daughters said "that's it,Christmas is over,we can't top that".
