Removing Bearing Cone from RH Differential

I second txjim on that one. I used to change bearings/cone on gear boxes set in a blind hole with no way to get under the cone. Welded a bead one fourth the diameter of the cone opposite sides of the cone, let cool and would nearly fall out.

It is a different situation, but I have seen pilot bearings pulled out of a flywheel by packing it full of grease and ptting a socket the same size as
the hole Pack the socket full of grease and hit it. I reckon it acts like hydraulic pressure and pushes the bearing out. It may not work for your
problem but it might be worth a try. Tommy

Like TX Jim said, if you weld a bead all the way around the race, and let it cool, it should all but fall out. I've done many, many like that over the years and have yet to see it fail.
