Yesterday I sold off the last of my old Ford Y-Block 292-312 stuff...This old belt driven supercharger caught the purchasers eye and he wants to buy it....Back in the early 1970's it was used on a Oliver 880 puller that ran out of Iola,KS..He took it off and went to a turbo..

Is this a Paxton-McCulloch like what was used on Packards,Studebakers, and 1957 Fords? Theres not a plate on it..I guess I should sell it but I don't know what its really worth....Anyone on here ever have a car with this supercharger? They blew thru the carburetor for about 5 lbs of boost..

It LOOKS like it's off a '57 Ford like ran Pike's Peak that year - seems like I remember that one of the Unsers was driving BUT maybe not

What would you have to have for that? I didn't even know they made such a thing, and I've been a Ford man all my life. On a tractor ride last summer a fellow offered me a 312 in pieces for free if I'd just come and get it. He wants it out from under his bench. I've got a 56 Ford F100 that I put a.............1970, 318 Plymouth engine in back in the late 70's. Yea, I know, a Plymouth in a Ford! Hey, it was all I could afford at the time. So, it would be pretty cool to have that 312 in there with that supercharger!!

If you "google up" '57 Ford Supercharger and click on images, you will see lots of pictures.
The unit used on the Ford looks quite a lot different.
Yours looks like it might be for heavy duty industrial use like
it was being used on the Oliver tractor.

I have two of them. There were various versions, most with various problems....some repairs are available. Since you don't have the brackets, belt tensioner etc. you won't get top dollar.

I would not sell mine for less than $150 - $200. The last application was on the Shelby Mustangs, a friend of mine had one.

Looks like a Paxton/McCulloch like used by Studebaker.

IIRC, Ford used a Latham.

If I decide to sell it the man that bought my Y-block Ford parts gets first chance..Some pieces will have to be found or made to ever use it..

Thanks everyone for the replies..
