JD 7800 dash lighting

Being as its now cold and nasty I am using the 7800 FWA to feed bales. During the day the digital dash has an orange-ish backlight. At night it doesn't work at all. You have to turn on the dome light to see how much fuel is in it. Is there a fuse for that or what?

If you take out the display from the dash you can then open it up. Then on the inside is about two dozen tiny bulbs if you cycle the key switch you should be able to find the burnt out ones that are for back lighting. They all should light up when you cycle the key. If I was at work I could get you the deeremart number to cross reference to Napa or Carquest. Hope this helps.

I remember that happening to me one time on a 7000 series tractor and I had to push two dash buttons at once and the dash lights got brighter. something to try. had to hold them down for a second or two.
