So JD,what was wrong with your fuel pump that you were working on the other day? Or did I miss your repair solution?I was curious-it sounded like it was driving you bonkers.Mark

Mark It is still driving me bonkers!!! LOL

The next day after my post I took the complete fuel system apart other than the injection pump and injectors. I cleaned and flushed the tank again, I made sure every fitting and line was sealed/fuel tight, I pressures tested the system with 5 PSI air pressure. I soaped everything and had zero leaks under pressure. So I then bleed the fuel lines to the injection pump with the mechanical transfer pump. I have good clean/ air bubble free fuel at the injection pump. So I cracked the injector lines to bleed them. The starter turned the engine over maybe two turns and then the reduction drive quit. So I had to remove the starter and it is not back from the rebuilder yet.

So I will let you fellows know what happens next week I hope.

dam had to laugh customer bring his 4020 to shop have him park it in front of door as i was going to put it in shop to work on it get ready to put it in get on the old beast all starter will do it click get battery charge on it nothing seem thy got the last start out of it that morning and you know one going to smash a finger removing and replacing that starter

Thanks for the up date. It's always something when 1 problem gets in the way of another's solution.I am very curious because it sounds like you have been pretty thorough in your troubleshooting.Mark

It is amazing how many times I will "click it" before
giving up. If I am in a cab I can sit there and look
around until she decides to go, lol. The 7800 is
doing that right now but it is only once in a blue
moon. It did it at the dealership a year ago and they
slapped a new starter on it. That wasn't it. I'm sure
it's a fishy ground.

Mark what really worries me is I did not find the "smoking gun" when I went back through everything. All I did find where SOME paint/rust chips in the fuel tank but they where not many and not that big. I am far from sure that it will be Fixed.
