Hydrostatic Value Quesion

On these 3 & 4 Family John Deere tractors, which are 30-40 horsepower, does the hydro transmission add to the value of the tractor opposed to a manual transmission? Very expensive little tractors, and not sure why.....

Normally the hydro vrs gear price difference in those tractors is somewhere $1200 to $1,500 on the retail price. If you ever use one for yard work or loader work you will see the difference.

Yes it does. There is a lot of difference in little tractors just like trucks. A L Kubota has a shaft going to front wheels. Terrible position control on 3 pt. Small Hy. Pump.etc. A Grand L is about 1800 more and has all the features. Except try to put a couple more Hyd valves on them. Where a JD no problem. But be careful of them also. JohnDeere makes cheap models also. Our 4320 compact was double a striped one.
