Expanding the family/herd LOL!!!

We welcomed my fourth Grand son and fifth Grand Daughter to this world at 4:15 AM this morning. My Daughter-in-law is real thrifty so she decided to do a two for one deal. LOL This is her second set of twins. The poor boy is going to be hounded. He is the youngest. So he will have four older sisters. My DIL is doing fine. The boy came in at 7 pounds 8 ounces and the girl at 7 pounds even. So they are good size and are doing well too. The Doctor says they all will be home by the weekend. She will have plenty of help. Her mother and MY Mother are both going to be there to help. My Mother just turned 82. These are her fourteenth and fifteenth Great Grand Children.

Congrats and Joy to All!! WOW, a young mother with 2 sets of twins, She will be a very busy Mom. It is great that the twins are big enough to go home soon. Our DIL was not quite that lucky with her twins as they both had to stay in the hosp for a while. My son nearly died (just seriously shocked) when they got the hosp bill. But the ins co did finally take care of it. Our twin grand kids are now 11 yrs old. We have 8 grandkids, and that is what makes our world go around.

Congratulations!! We had a pair that we called twins, since they were born the same day, but by different mothers. Then 18 months ago we were blessed with two "real" twins! Lots of joy with them. So much fun to follow their progress. Ours are fraternal, and very definite differences.

Congratulations. My son and daughter in law have twin girls that turned 3 last July. I also have brothers that are twins that are 57 now. Twins can give the parents a real workout at times... LOL

Yes INDEED , many congrats all around , My 2nd son got his 1st son nov 27th, my sisters birthday , there never was a more content family,. lol ,, babe and mom are picture of health ,, and little Jackson never does much more than a holler when he needs attention ,, good as gold..my sara and I have 10 grandchildren 4 girls and 6 boys,,. her son gota set of twin boys 4 yrs ago .. my 1st granddaughter is now 12,,. she was born on my grand mothers birthday .. who died before age 40 of pneumonia in 1927.. I have friends that had their 1st child jan 17th , then 2 yrs later they got twinboy and girl on jan 17th,.funny thing ,,. the mothers birthday is jan 20th ,,. and dad is 5th of july

Congrats to all who contributed. My late wife nannied for 2 sets of twins at different times. They literally can be a handful. She got trapped more than once in a rocking chair with one in each arm and couldn't get out of the chair. One morning she came to work and the dad was trapped in a chair. He had thought it was funny when she was trapped, but when the shoe gets on the other foot and it pinches it isn't so funny.
My brother and SIL have triplets that will be 3 in March. He was almost 52 when they were born, she is quite a bit younger. If they had not been helped out by friends and family, I don't know what they would have done. My parents in their 80,s live only 5 miles away and spent many days there helping. Her parents live about a hundred miles away and were able to move in for at least a week at a time to help.
She previously from a first marriage had a set of twin girls now about 11 and a single daughter about 13 or 14 now who were also able to help a lot. Unfortunately and fortunately they live with their dad every other week. It wasn't easy on any of them. What a relief when they can feed themselves and can go to the bathroom with only minimal assistance.

That is really great news. When I was born (I'm a twin) there were five of us under 3 1/2 years and then a two year space and a couple more. I some time wonder how they did it. As my dad would say, "There are six boys and each has a sister".
