Coming along great. I feel for you. Neck, shoulders, arms. Got done with my dormer and ached in places i didn't know existed. And that was 27 yrs ago. Dont know that i would even attempt it now.

It's like going across a desert in a rowboat. I saw pro's do mud, they feathered the mud so well they did very little sanding. With a machine of course.

Looking good! And what a view from the bay window!

By the way, I misunderstood the post title; I thought this was going to be some comments on firearms being blamed for murders.

it's all a state of mind. if you tell youfself it sucks,it will.try to think pleasant thoughts, like i can't wait till this is DONE!

Looks Good
Maybe you should have been a carpenter or builder instead of a farmer. You might have missed your true calling.

There's good and bad with that work. First it means you are almost done, but on the other hand it is some tedious work, but the last of it... hopefully! Good lighting is key to seeing the finish of joinery, can't tell you how many times I've gone back to fix my own work, looked perfect til I primed it ! Tricky to get these walls ironed out smooth for sure, and the more you put on, can be the more you take off!

I always held a flashlight in one hand and sander in the other. Lay the flashlight on the wall and the imperfections are easy to see.

Looking good. Getting the paint on the walls is a nice milestone to hit.

Were kind of in the same boat, except were living in ours. Started an addition/remodel project June 2014 and still have a ways to go.

Yeah, you prime it and fix those flaws and then you paint it and more show up. Now how did I miss that?

Not to pry, but have you been able to keep up with your chores and cattle etc. since the fire?

Did it before in my rec room. Not too bad a job if it's really nasty outside--otherwise it's not so good. You sure do nice work.

Looks good, I like the recessed lights. The last sheetrock that I did was a few years ago. I rented a lift that saved my back. I textured the paint so the little imperfections in the sanding weren't as obvious.

I usually get up between 2 and 3 to work on rebuilding my music system ( which I lost 30 years of programing, not to mention all the equipment).

As soon as it gets light, I go do chores and then back on the house.

It's slowly coming together. Thanks for the holler!

I'm using 180 grit sheetrock screens on a 10" hand sander. It pulls it off of there pretty darned fast. I'm sure there are imperfections, but I'm trying to get 'er done as quickly as possible. :>)

I hate mudding and sanding inside corners. Everything else, not too bad. Rick

Not too bad to do if you know how. I always used a 4 inch knife and did one side at a time, let it dry then do the other. You can also mud one side when you tape it if your taping mud isn't too tough to sand. Did commercial drywall finishing work about 36 yrs. ago, glad I don't have to go to work doing that anymore.
