elastomeric roof coating

Anybody had success with elastomeric roof coating on a metal roof. I've got a place where roof lines meet that I have not been able to stop it from leaking. I've watched some vids on it and it can be applied by rolling or spraying. It runs around $40 to $50 a gallon and most I see is a bright white.

I used it on metal roofing with success. Spray on bed liner also works. Clean with a 3M scotch brite and prep the surface with lemon juice and a rinse. Apply within 10 minutes of dry. Jim

There is a product from Sashco called through the roof it comes in caulk tubes or by the quart or gallons. I put it on the roof at work and it worked very well. It is clear so you virtually don't see it.

When I moved to my place more than 26 years ago, I had roof leaks in a shed dormer covered with roll roofing on my house as well as around just about every fastener on an old steel machine shed. I used elastomeric on both roofs and was extremely satisfied. I finally this fall had a commercial-quality rubber roof put on the house dormer; I did have to do some minor touch-up on bubbles with brush-on elastomeric every year or two. The machine-shed roof is still pretty secure after more than 25 years. (I had tried tightening or replacing fasteners, but elastomeric was much easier and more effective.) Bottom line: I highly recommend elastomeric as a DIY alternative to a total reroof job.
