I poured some concrete in front of a old hog building I use as a kind of shop here at the "new" house. The new concrete is about five inches taller than the old so the original doors are too tall. Plus the old doors where far from being in good shape. So I saved the sheet steel and bought some Quick frame side rails. I then built the doors and then I wanted them insulated. I have a bunch of panels that are fiberglass on both sides of a Styrofoam middle. They are the cut outs from Winnebago camper windows. I also want to use them to insulate the ceiling as well.

I am cutting them to slide into the side frames and then over lap in the center like ship lap siding. It takes four pieces for each door. Two larger ones and two smaller ones. The wide/larger ones I have only 6-7 of them. Also there is gray and white colors too. I did the first half the door Friday night. It took a while to figure out how to cut all the sides so they fit and interlock both. I finished the second one yesterday afternoon. I cut the remaining smaller half right out and it fit like a glove. Laid out the larger one and it did not take me much longer to cut it out. One LITTLE problem. I miss measured and made it an inch too narrow!!!!! ARGGGGGGGG. So I thought OK I am still alright as I have a couple more of the larger pieces left. WRONG!!! I used gray for the other pieces and all I have left was white. So the door would have one panel out of eight the wrong color. So I dig through the entire stack of cut outs I have left. I find that I do have 2 trapezoid shaped pieces that are the right color and will work by the smallest margins on size. So I cut the first one out. Some how I get it out of square by about an inch. The original shape does not have square sides and would be too small if you cut it square with the long sides. So I had to cut all four sides at an angle to the original shape. I some how used one of the original sides on my square and it messed up the entire piece. ARGGGGG again!!!! So I took the last piece and measured several times an drew the entire sheet out before cutting the first cut. I did get it finished and caulked all the joins to seal them air tight.

So I now have three sheets cut up to where they will not work on any of the other doors and they are too short for the ceiling.

I went up to start the other door today. I looked at it for a few minutes and came back to the house. I just did not feel like doing a brain twister today.

Just west. It is the gray house back the lane. I think I should have bull dozed everything down an started out with new on the house and buildings. It just is taking me too long to get much done.
