I got the leak near the pressure tank fixed today, I posted a picture of the offending fitting, so tell me what you think.

I will post later what I think.

Everyone was on track, I think it had a crack from over tightening when I got the well tank replaced about a year ago. The people that changed the tank also "told" me that the casting next to it had a pinhole corrosion leak. I am doubting everything they told me right now. I had suspected a pinhole leak because the water was shooting out between the numbers. I replaced that today and repiped some things so the tank can be changed without un sweating anything.

I could not find any sign of corrosion on or near these fittings, still want to work on putting dielectric fittings on water heater and changing anode rods.

Here is how it looked after we got done, I am lucky my buddy like to plumb and I like to wire.

And I will clean up the wiring and put clamps in.

The plumbing looks well done but I hope that those are not red markings that I see on the copper pipe.

Looks like you just got a weak part. I don't know where to find good cast ball/gate/faucet valves any more. Maybe at your local steam power plant supply?

The local hardware store has American made hose bibs. The brass has a different tone and the castings are heavier than the foreign ones they also sell. The also cost a lot more but I have discovered that they last longer, enough longer that I haven't had one fail or start dripping in over 8 years. I can't think of the brand name off hand but they have an arrowhead logo.

Hair-line fracture from overtightening. Very easy fix without removing fitting; I've had far worse (Freeze Rupture) and fixed them "IN-PLACE" . I just isolate the cracked or broken fitting with woven Asbestos Cloth to act as a heat shield & then take my small portable Oxy/Propane brazing torch and Silver Solder the crack or break. I've got fittings that were Silver Soldered over 20 years ago and are still in-place and working just fine.
