My high school superintendent from a very small school in central Illinois passed away recently at the age of 88.
Roger Ingle graduated from high school a semester early to join the Navy during WW-II at the age of 17.
He went on to become a teacher, coach, principal and superintendent at several schools in Illinois while raising a family of 4.

SALUTE Mr. Ingle

My best teacher's grave marker is covered with moss and lichens and few visit because it is almost outside the cemetery, but something in me prevails which I hope is more valuable to me than the piece of granite.

The best generation. Wish we could keep them around. We have two left here in town. They are actually brothers. One 94 the other 92. The 92 year old helps vets in and out of the VA by giving them a hand or pushing their wheel chairs. The 94 year old I just sold a new MF compact this fall!

We live within site of a cemetery where we both have relatives buried. My wife walks for exercise up there every day. She often takes a bucket and a brush to clean tombstones while she's there.
