Way O.T. George the Cat.

A little over a year ago I heard a racket out by one of my trailers. I went out there and found our 2 outside dogs had "treed" something under there. As I got there the smaller dog came out with a yellow and white tiger striped kitten. The big dog, Amos, snatched the little guy from the other one and tossed it up into the air. About this time my wife Cathy showed up. She made a mad dash between the dogs and came back with "kitty." I had already decided to let the dogs have at it since there was a good chance "Kitty" was pretty much wrecked. As luck would have it he was tougher than I gave him credit for. We kept him around and he never showed much sign of his little incident. He got fixed at about 6 months. Recently he started wanting out at night. He stays out all night and sleeps in the house most of the day. I noticed lately that the dogs have been playing with and carrying aound dead rats pretty often and all I can figure is that "George the Cat," (his name), has been providing them the "toys." gm

We got a call at 5:00 in the morning last year. The neighbor was walking out the door headed for heart surgery. Their dogs were playing with(killing) a yellow fuzzball. 4 or 5 week old kitten. The cat survived and now lives with us. Wife named it 'Pumpkin'.

Somebody with a conscience dropped some off in the corner of one of my fields a few weeks ago. I pulled in to pick corn and there was a cardboard box turned upside down on an old blanket and one of those self feeders full of cat food sitting beside it. I saw a brown tiger stripped cat there at first, then a tabby and finally a gray and white one going in to the swamp. I told the wife and she went down and got two of them. She couldn't find the gray and white one. They're super nice, clean friendly cats. Too darned friendly really. They follow me everywhere as soon as I walk out the door and if I'm working around the shop they have to be right there climbing on everything and getting their noses in the way.

In my experience, Orange cats are the best. Unfortunately the 20 yr. old dufus (not orange) we have now is as much of a nuisance than anything.

I live in the country on a quiet deadend road. All my life people have used our neighborhood to get rid of pets they don't want. It makes me so angry! They are cowards! The poor animal is lost and confused and hungry. Too many times I am the one forced to apply the three S solution.

I have a stray kitty that came last spring and also a Rat.-Chi.cross dog that the daughter could not get house broke. The dog just mauls the h out of that cat but at the same time sleep together in the outside dog house. Cute to see that.

In 2000 we had a large (150 pounder) beautiful red Golden Retriever (Maggie)that was dying of liver cancer. It was in the summer and the door was open so Maggie could lie on the floor and look out. All of a sudden in walks a tiger striped cat and proceeded to lie down on Maggie and would not leave. Stayed there for 3 days until Maggie passed. From then on he was our cat. My first one ever and also the last as I now live in a place where cats and dogs are not possible. Anyhoo, from that day on Moe(the cat) lived with us and became like a dog, being with one of us at all time. He was a great cat. Loved him until the day I left. I miss my animals greatly. Henry

Through the years I've had numerous dogs and cats. Not a one was deliberately sought out and acquired.

Setting here reading YT with calico cat on chair beside me. Wants to play some but when I say just lay down she complies. Goes to door when needed. No litter box required. Goes to door about 9 in evening to hunt. Jumps on window about 1 or 2 am to wake me to let her in.She must know thats about when I need to pee in middle of night!!
