JD Gator bed actuator

Has anyone ever put an actuator on a Gator bed that did not cost hundreds of dollars? Can yo tell me how?

You might try Ebay (under business and industrial) and search for '12 volt linear actuator'. I believe that is basically what the Gators use. Problem is they are around $100 or more for what you need so there may not be a cheap way out.

Does it have the holes for the pins on the actuator??. If so raise the bed and measure the distance between the holes. I have a few used ones. 325 642 7647

That would be cheaper than the Deere kit of around $500.

Whatever you do, make sure the bolts on the actuator (not the pins that hold it on) stay tight. They loosen and things start stripping out really fast.
