The kids all look like they are overfed. How can that be in a supposedly poor country? I see a lot of that on TV these days; surely makes me wonder what is going on. Mexicans claim that they need to come here to get jobs so they can eat, yet Mexico has a much higher percentage of obese people than the U.S. Something just doesn't jibe.

The kids are will taken care of and the orphanage has some of the best reports from the government. The villagers that they work with farm there few acres with just a big hoe and they aren't fat and most have just rice and beans.

Dick2: First let me say that most Latinos are not tall and thin like Anglos... most are short and stocky, thus the 'chubby' appearing toddlers.
Second, why would you expect a well managed orphanage to be keeping their children close to starvation? Is not the reason for them being there?
