Helped design and build a turning solar panel for a mission base and orphanage. Had to make the stop and notch plate on site with 1/2in plate and cutting torch and grinder.

They hope to be able to run a washing machine when the sun is out right now they have a large solar battery and run a generator once a day

My guess is because it's for the angle of the sun, not the direction of the wind :lol:
