Found this Oliver plow last week. Was very glad to get it. Set it out by the tree but not sure I'll leave it there. Never was crazy about "yard art". Also got this 88 with "some assembly required". It's rough but it's all there. Included was new sleeve kit with bearings. Head and crank have been ground but they set so long there rusty. Sleeve kit was from TSC. How long since TSC sold engine parts?

The first plow pictured is a "Breaking Plow" used to plow land for the first time. They are rare to find. The plow would pull up logs, roots and stones from land that had never previously been plowed.

Starter looks like for a diesel. Make SURE you do the screw driver test on the injection pump before you try to turn it!

I think it is actually a muck plow. A breaking plow I believe has a much heavier, longer frame. And a tail wheel. Could be wrong though. I'm sure no expert. I've got a book here somewhere on plows, but I can't seem to find it tonight.
