OT--Saving a web site page?

I need to save a website page to my photos or documents.
Anyone know how to do that?

Hello Niles,

You can try a right click and then copy and paste. Sometimes they won't let you do it
though,

Guido.

Do you just need to save it as it appears on the screen?
If you have a newer version of Windows, click the start button and find the Snipping Tool. Just open it while the page is up,the screen will go kind of dark and a red X will come on the screen. Hold your right mouse button to trace around it,then use the options to save it.

Go to the website. Then at the top of your screen there should be a Favorites icon. On mine, it's a star. With the website up, click on the Favorites icon and it will ask if you want to save the site to Favorites. Then, whenever you click on Favorites, the website should be available to click on.

If you got a Mac just click on the address bar and drag it to the desktop. Put it in any file you want after that or else go to the top where it has the Safari line and click on the
bookmarks tab. You can add it as a bookmark from there.

Hello Jiles,

Just so we can answer your question without having to guess, what do you have for an operating system and which web
browser do you use?

I have IE Windows 7

Learn to use the Snipping Tool then. It'll come in handy for parts diagrams and what not.

With a Mac you can also go to the file menu, hit print, and then save as a pdf. I do it all the time. Not sure if that works on PCs.

I have searched multiple times and can't find Snipping Tool

Jiles,
Snipping tool:
All programs/Accessories/Snipping tool

Or if you have a web page open, you can press your PrtScn (print screen) button - then open a word document and paste it in there. Next click on that image on your Word page... then click on Format, then Crop and trim away unwanted portions. And to finish it, right-click on the final image and select Save as Picture... and choose the folder, then name it and select the file-type (I like jpeg - but defaults to png file... so I change it to jpeg using the drop-down there).

I use Firefox as my browser, don't know if this works in Internet Exploder.

To save the current webpage displayed on Firefox... Click "file". Select "Save page as" from the drop-down menu.

Select "Web page, complete", and pick a name and location in your 'puter to save it.

To open it later, open Firefox.

Click on "file", and select "Open file".

Select the location and filename of the saved page, and click "Open", and the saved page will come up just as you saved it, even if you are off-line.

SF, Thanks gal., never heard of it before. Best thing since sliced bread or pockets on a shirt. LOL

You're welcome, Gordo.

I like it for Craig's List items - especially if they have their phone number listed below the photos.
