the neighbor tried to dig the rest of the potato patch,,I went to help him. He was using the Oliver digger his friend left at his farm, the sprocket on the slip clutch cracked in half. So off we go to our shed, where his grandfather parked his old potato digger;First we have to pull out the Oliver tractor my neighbor bought from a lady he sells hay to.It needs work,so he stored it in our shed for the time being

He iscurently in the process of getting tires for it,,Just one of those days

We all have those days. Something to get done, all ...........(insert your word) breaks loose, then you can't get anything done. Maybe tomorrow, or the day after
He has at least a few days till a heavy freeze to get them in.

I do like the looks of that old digger and tractor as well, rough yet usable.

Must be a new fangled digger....all the ones around here have steel inner tubes...and outer tubes. :D

I must say, I'm a little concerned about that light weight chain wrapped up on the front of the digger! Be careful and don't snap it. LOL

That Oliver would be a sought-after puller in these parts in the lighter class. Not many to be found up here in Alberta ......

Hi, I have never seen a potato digger up close. Can
you tell me what the lever does? Maybe lift the
nose out of the ground at rows end? Also seems
lever handle is too long for rider. Apologize for
being such a neophyte. Ed will
