With a few emails and digging around, I found the hoist footing specs. I think all of the ideas you posted would be plenty strong enough anyways.
But here is the official word:
Minimum floor thickness - 4 1/4 inches
Minimum distance to concrete edge, crack, expansion joint, abandoned hole - 4 1/2 inches
If your floor does not meet the requirements, replace concrete floor under each column base with 4ft x 4ft x 6 inch thick 3000 PSI minimum concrete pad keyed under and flush with top of existing floor.
I am going to lay everything out perfectly to see where the columns do land. But with my rough measurements so far, its a little too close for my comfort to the saw cut reliefs.
