This generator will start and run for 15 seconds then quit for 5 seconds then restart. I have tested a whole lot of stuff but not sure any of my tests are valid. I know something is killing spark when it quits, then resets. I also don't believe it is generating any electricity while it is running. Wondering if Billy Shafer would be willing to e-mail me or if someone else has any ideas. I could be wrong, but I don't thing it is any of the engine safety switches. Couple of other things. This generator was given to me in unknown condition and is natural gas. A couple of months ago, I rigged a temporary gas line to it and ran a temporary service to my shop. It ran every thing including a 5hp compressor with no problems in the manual. Since then I got it installed out side and it ran as recently as 3 weeks ago for 20 minutes without being connected to anything. Now that it is wired in, this problem started. I tried disconnecting all the wiring at the generator and the problem persists. Also, I am not using a transfer switch. I was planning to run and transfer manually.
