can anyone tell me which ports on a 2424 are the return to the pump also tractor has two large hoses under seat which are capped off what would they be used for

The two large lines under the seat are the supply and return for the front crankshaft mounted hydraulic pump. The rest of that system was probably removed when a loader was removed from your tractor.
