How difficult is it to change out these on my 97 f350 cause I've got a vibration under a load plus short some power it's got 205000 miles so I'm thinking change glow plugs at same time

If I remember correctly, these were equipped with what they called a "dual mass flywheel", which was like two flywheels with heavy springs between, much like a clutch disc. The idea behind this was to absorb vibration when the clutch was released. Problem is, that after a sufficient amount of mileage, the springs would wear and cause more vibration than they absorbed. However with that many miles, you may have a fuel problem also, as in dirty injectors, etc.

Check your dual mass flywheel,if you run it to long you will spin rear main bearing and engine will be junk.Do yourself a favor and toss that unit and install a single mass flywheel and clutch kit.Scott

it vibrates at highway speeds like a wheel out of balance or bad ujoint which ive had plenty of them but you back off pedal the vibration goes away and like I said its lacking power

It's not a bad job on ether side but the back bolt on the valve cover next to the body is a big pain in the butt to get to. I just changed my valve cover gaskets with wiring harness on my 96 7.3 yesterday. I strongly advise you to check the plugs when you pull them apart to check them for melting inside the plugs. On the vibration set your parking brake put the truck in netural and get under the truck a check the drive shaft at the transmission and see if there is any movement up and down. The bushing or bearing in the back of the trans might be going bad and this will cause a vibration. Mine did the same thing and it was the tail shaft in the trans that was bad. Changed the trans and the vibration was gone.

If you change the glow plugs go with Ford glow plugs and save yourself a lot of problems. Auto Zone sells Dorman valve cover gaskets with the wiring harness and the plug to replace the ones on the truck harness in case there are bad. There about $65 each gasket so they are pricy. If you need help just let me know and I can give you some tips if you need them. Bandit

Check wiring harness under valve cover for bad spots possible grounding, friend has one drove him crazy would do the same thing you describe and the same turn in the road every day. Found a bod spot in harness under cover
