Once a year - just for fun

I may be getting close to half way done with beans. I was cutting a cash rent patch tonight and had both semis crammed full and was about 200 bushels shy of being done. I pulled out the old 58 GMC and loaded her down. She growled out of the field and headed back to the shed. That will no doubt be the most fun trip to the elevator tomorrow. I love using that thing when I get a chance. Not quite so easy anymore when a bin full fills an old truck! I think it took three with our Massey Super 92.

She still likes to show her stuff as the oldest truck in line (leaving the biggest oil puddle from those rope seals).

Perhaps a little short by today's standards, no matter what name was on the hood, those old trucks got the job done, and it's always fun to let an old workhorse out of the stable to kick up its heels a little!

both of my semis have 550 hp cummins with 13 sp 1200 to 1300 bu doesn't bother them to much, but the old 86 gmc 454 5sp progressive with 500 bu and your foot never leaves the floor, but its still fun to drive

Old guy near here who has a truck repair shop, listens to truckers brag on their big engines. He says they built the world with 237 Macks and 238 Detroits.
