So bought an old grain truck. Runs and drives great. Only one issue I have found so far. It does not want to go into the 3rd stage of the hydraulics. I the reservoir is beneath the bed of the truck making it so you cannot fill it with the bed down. Any ideas on how to fill it with the bed raised and not over fill it? Thanks All!!!

We had a truck like that ....Just put in a gallon at a time until it works. Then raise it to the 2nd stage , and mark your dipstick as full at that stage .

Using a Ketchup squeeze bottle to fill it will get it in the fill hole. (bribe a kid with a cell phone card or ?) Block it up with a 6X6 so it has a bit more clearance. When letting it down, leave a drain pan under it an the plug out if over filled. Jim

Like said just add some then raise it. When you are done you will need to bleed the air out or it will be jumpy as it goes up from the air being compressed. It will also not be starving your pump when you get the air out. Currently it is doing just that since the oil is low. The oil is only starving it at the top of the stroke.
The bleeder might only be an allen type screw.

Is there room enough to screw a street ell into the fill hole and run a pipe nipple with another street ell turned up out the side far enough to be able to add oil when the bed is down?
