Michigan color tour

As I just commented in RayP's post,the color in most of west and northwest Michigan was great. From Fife Lake to Kalkaska you needed to like the color white. Things were still snow covered at 2pm when we headed home.

I was driving thru Hartland here locally yesterday headed west toward the farm and looking ahead I said to my wife "that is snow coming down up there". Sure enough we drove thru a short spell where it was snowing heavy enough it was blowing across the road. Then it cleared and that was mostly it. Cold and unpleasant day working outside though. Today is better.
 
Ya I was picking corn yesterday and one squall was snow instead of rain. Didn't last but a minute and didn't stick. We were seeing some in the ditches north of Cadillac,but when I saw all of this snow,it blew me away.
 
I had 4 inches yesterday morning and we got another 1 inch last night but it is gone now, high of 60 tomorrow. I am NW of Lake City
 
It got thin in a hurry when we got south of the road that goes over to Fife Lake. When we got to the river by Smithville it was pretty much non existent. We didn't go north of Kalkaska,so I don't know how much worse it got up there.
 
I was visiting sister at Cadillac just get home one week ago today glad to be back in South Dakota 65 here right now at 610 p m
 
We were over in Midland yesterday, it snowed on our way home.
I'm not in any hurry for that stuff just yet, but I started putting
stuff away and getting ready for it a couple of weeks ago.
Maybe this year I'll be ready before it gets here.
Ya. Right. LOL
 
This was in Bear Lake Saturday morning about 7 AM. Was cold and dry, and about 15 minutes after I took this picture everything was all white. All gone at 9:00 when heading out. Colors along the west side of the state are real nice in some places I thought.
