the wife and I are making an apple pie,,,and bananna bread today

which makes me happy,the apples are from our tree

she is teaching me how to make a pie crust

and making bannana bread at the same time!

I get to peel and cut up the apples,a blend of yellow and red apples

we dont use any sugar,just some cinnamon

ready for the apples?

the wife is a great baker,I ll take a picture when its done!///////apple pie baking//////beef stew brewing

I should make a few apple pies(then freeze a few). Got a milk crate full of Wolf Rivers, those are good pie apple.

Your wife lets you help?? Mine chases me out of the kitchen. She made a batch of apple butter last week and wanted me only to sharpen the apple peeler.

No banana bread here, but did have a banana split this afternoon; that was a good substitute.

Wife made banana nut bread yesterday. Had the 1st piece after breakfast this AM. Commented that it tasted better than usual. A little richer. Asked what she did different. Little more sugar? maybe, few more bananas in the mix? maybe. Then the AHA: Used the sour milk in the fridge. That's it! Sure tasted good.
