13.6x38 Tractor Tire.............

A rear tire went kaput on my M Farmall. The one on the other side is an almost new Goodyear Dyna Torque II, one long-one short tread pattern.

Does anyone have any suggestion for new or used, either one, in eastern Nebraska, western Iowa, or northern Kansas? I've called all the local places and struck out. Salvage yards may be a better source than a tire dealer.

I called the main office in Firth this morning. There was just a gal there that answered the phone and said all the tire guys were busy elsewhere. I emailed them, but will follow up with a phone call on Monday.

I'm thinking now if I ordered another Goodyear Dyna Torque II to match the new one on the other side, having a matched pair of new rear tires on the tractor would increase its value almost as much as the new tire cost. (It's a healthy, good looking tractor with recent new paint). A tire guy at our local coop thought that particular tire new would be around $400. Do the math. If I bought a new one from them installation would be included. If I bought a used one out of the area, the cost of the tire, the expense of going after it, and then paying someone to install it, would probably wind up totaling as much as a new one bought locally.
