The weatherman on the local news showed a graph of the length of the local growing season. Ten years ago we had a 152 day season. It has gotten progressivly longer each year since. This year with a widespred killing frost coming Sat. night, we will have had a 175 day growing season.

It's been the other way here in Michigan. Last frost to first frost has been getting shorter.

It's going the other way down here. A few years ago planting corn in early March wasn't unusual. The last couple of years it's been in late April and this year it went into May. I used to be able to cut hay in April but the last couple of years it was the first of June. It's just a weather cycle that repeats it's self every few years.
