Can anyone tell me what the number is for a spin on Fram oil filter for a 1955 Model 600 Ford tractor? Thanks.

Spin On: PH8A, Cartridge: CH6PL. There was no mention of year, only model. With that you can do a google search for cross reference if you would like.

Good luck.

I wouldn't even think about using a Fram filter. They are junk.

You need the same filter Ford used on there cars and trucks. Ford number FL-1A

In 1996 I bought a new Toyota Camry. We drove it till it had 120,000 on it. I changed the oil and Fram filter the first few times at about 5000 miles, after that I changed the Fram filter every other oil change. I sold the car to a guy that worked in the same building as my wife. I have no idea how often he changed oil, I do know that he sold it to a college student after it had over 350,000 miles on it. The engine had never been apart.

Thanks. That was very informative. Years back, I attended a week long class given by Exide Batteries on...batteries. What in the world could possibly take a week to explain about batteries? It did. Until then, I never realized that batteries are a science, an actual science. I learned plenty, and in the overall scheme of things and larger picture, very little. Just the same though, thanks much. I've regained respect for Fram that I used to have and lost.
