Adding tow package to truck

What part of in La do you not understand
A week or so ago I ask about transmission coolers.
While the stacked plate may be better I decided to get a plate fin cooler.
So I got a Derale 13504 Series 8000 Plate and Fin Transmission Oil Cooler rated at 22,500 lbs on the way.
Was thinking about adding a temperature gauge and external filter but did not order these.

Now I need to move on to the brakes and lights.
Found a plug and play wiring harness that plugs right into my vehicle wiring so the lights are covered.

So now I need to decide on a brake controller.
I looked at etrailer.com and found over 20 controllers that are plug and play with the factory wiring in my truck priced from $46 to $160.
What am I looking for in a brake controller so I can narrow down this field?

I can hardly believe they still sell that Tekonshia Voyager, that model has been around 20 years or so. I sold and installed a LOT of those with no problems that I can remember. There are certainly more modern ones out there, but if reliable is what your after that is it. Make sure you pay attention to how many brakes they can handle, the ones marked 2-4 will only handle 2 axles up to 7k well, bigger axles draw more power and they can come up short. The Voyager is good to 8 brakes.
 
The disadvantage is it uses a pendulum so it needs to be mounted within perameters where the all electronic ones can be mounted however you like. Most folks I worked with thought the machanical type were smoother operating that the electronic.

Voyager gets my vote... Love mine and never had a issue out of the dozens I have installed...
