Kubota 2360..not YT but need to know...

All,

Just looking for the hydraulic release for the hydraulic transmission. I needed to move it, but did not see a readily available pressure release.

Thanks in advance,

D.

Most hydrostat tractors have a neutral position on the range selector. Never seen one with a "hydraulic release."

Dean,

Perhaps you are right. I do remember a Cub lawn tractor that had a lever to release the hydro transmission that enabled the machine to be rolled. That's what I am used to.

I'll still bet it has a release somewhere. Wait until someone familiar with them comes along. I'm doubting that just by putting the control lever in neutral it will keep it from trying to turn the drive motor when the rear wheels are trying to turn. Maybe though...

I got a B3000kubota that had a computer problem last fall. Its a hydro. I put the 3 speed lever in the neutral position and toed it and pushed it up on my trailer.
I have done the same thing more than once with my F2100 Kubota hydro mower when I stuck it in the mud around a lake I mow by. I put the two speed shift lever in neutral and pull it out with a tractor.
I'm not an authority on it by any means but never had a problem doing it that way.

I have a B7100HST and a G1800 mower (both Kubota). The B7100, you just put the high/low range lever in neutral, as Dean said. The G1800 has a release button on the transaxle (front side) near the filter. When you start the mower up, the button pops back out when the pressure builds. I thought about all of the smaller hydrostatic units had a button or valve somewhere to allow fluid to bypass.

The range selector is a mechanical gearbox between the hydraulic motor and the rear axle. Shifting it to neutral disengages the rear axle from the hydrostat transmission.

JD hydrostatic lawn mowers such as 314,316,317 & 318 had a knob one screwed down against 2 hyd relief valves to allow them to be moved manually.
