Here's a few pictures I promised earlier today of the Cider Press I picked up yesterday. I gave $250 for it, has two press plates and two
baskets. So I think I did pretty good. Now I have to experiment with it! This was made by or for ACE HARDWARE in St. Louis Mo.

We made 9 1/2 gallons of cider yesterday. I was too busy cranking to get any pics. Ours is dated 1863.

What is that pan on the cider press made out of??

That's just a stainless steel pan that I made up. SIL claimed the wood gave the cider a strange taste. Don't know as she's the only one that had that problem

WE have one identical to that. Just in pieces. Hoping to restore it by then end of next year. Want to use it for the fall of 2017
