Old Cletrac question, going to sell

Hello folks, newbie here. My grandpap passed away several years ago, and I'm trying to help my dad clean up the place and sell some things. My grandpap has an old Cletrac transmission and part of a frame, and what is apparently the front end and motor in a different area. The motor and housing were kept in a shed, and the transmission left outside. If I recall, he had taken them apart to make some sort of homemade conglomeration tractor in the 70's. Anyhow, I'd like to help sell them, and am trying to get a ballpark price together to sell them. Here are some pics, if anyone could help tell me what they are worth (seperate? together?). Thank you all in advance for any help.

*The crawler front end has a Hercules "1XA3" motor ("size 3x4"), serial # "A677061". I am not sure if the motor turns over. The transmission has a plate that reads "model HG42" and appears to show serial # "41GA016".

My wife's uncle bought a complete but rusty one for $2000 (1st picture) and restored it. Got to drive it a week ago. Apparently you're looking at parts of two different things, no steering wheel on any Cletrac I've ever seen. What is your location?

looks as if might have been a Cletrac General GG, a 3 wheel tractor using the same engine and gearbox.
Accounts for the recess on the back of the bottom of the HG crawlers fuel tank, the same on both tractors,
as it had to clear the steering wheel shaft on the GG

athol carr has it pegged. You have the front and back of a Cletrac General GG tractor. I would have no idea on the value of the pieces you have. There were not many built but yours is in two pieces and of unknown condition as well. Go down to the crawler forum there are Cletrac collectors that hang out there that could tell you a better idea of value.

If I had to guess, I'd say about $300-$500 for
the engine assy, depending on where you are
located at. The crawler transmission does have
the PTO unit on it which could be removed and
you might get $100 for the PTO unit. As for the
rest of the trans assy, it doesn't have the
steering levers, or sprockets, or correct seat
assy, its probably worth $50, if you wait long
enough. I've got 2-3 trans/final drives for parts
around here, and I'll probably have to give them
away if someone needs them.

There were 7500 of them built between 1939 and 1942. I do not remember of ever seeing one in person. I might have and walked past it as being something else.

You have parts from 2 different tractors. The engine is an early one as it is an IXA used probably in 1939 or 40 used on both GG & the HG. The transmission serial number makes it a late 1948 or early 49 crawler serial number.

On second thoughts, the steering wheel and steering box on the rear frame are not from the GG tractor, the steering box was at the front of the engine and the steering shat was at a shallow angle clearing a recess under the tank so someone has put a steering box and wheel off 'something' onto the HG rear frame
