Nice barn, seems like it would be hard to arrange things so they fit in there correctly. At that time this morning in central MI, I couldn't see 300 feet. Fog hung around until about 9:30-10:00.

Most of the round barns were built that way to feed cattle,not necessarily for equipment storage. Cattle are somewhat triangular shaped when viewed from above. You can get more cattle around a circular feeder than a square feeder.

Someday I want to put a round barn on this farm. The old square dairy barn blew down during a storm in the 90's and it just seems wrong to not have one. I've tried everything I can think of to get the Craftsman (Sears) plans for their round barns. I can't seem to. You would think that a family that bought one would have kept them. You'd also think Sears would have them on file, but I contacted them and they don't.

I guess I'm left measuring one a drawing up my own plans. Many were built around silos in the center (usually wooden ones) but I don't need another silo around here!

Always thought I would like to visit a round barn, but have not found one near me. Build your barn round, and you cannot be cornered by the Devil.

Brude, there is a restored one at the Ag Museum in Milton---it houses the IH exhibit.

One of our neighbors own the "Round Barn Winery"- they moved an old round barn from northern IN onto their property in the 80's or 90s and use it for winemaking.

I hunt about 1 mile south of Baxter Bridge State Forest Campground east of Buckley.

I know right where that campground is, been in it a few times just passing through but havene't camped there.

Been camping there for hunting season for almost 30 years (except for the 3 years the state closed it in the winter). Will be there again this year, god willing and the creek don't rise.
